I use a lot of bird imagery and I make a series of nest sculptures, so it felt natural for these to evolve from those.

This unique cup is a combination of throwing and hand building techniques. The porcelain cup is thrown and trimmed clean like an egg. Black clay is then added and gives a nest like appearance. Just the cup is glazed inside and out.

Food safe and holds approximately 8 ounces.
